The shape comes first
Brows carry the whole face, which is why the shape matters more than the technique. Every appointment starts with mapping: measuring, drawing the outline onto your skin, and changing it until you are happy looking at it in the mirror. Only then does any pigment go in.
Faces are not symmetrical, and brows rarely start out matched. Mapping is where that gets worked out, rather than something to discover halfway through.
Colour is chosen against your skin tone and your own brow hair, not from a chart. It looks stronger for the first few days and softens as it heals, which is expected and planned for.
Rai trained in ombre, microblading and combination hair strokes through ABT accredited courses, and has kept adding to it since 2019.
Which finish suits you
Decided together at the appointment, once Rai has seen your brows in person.
- Powder brows
- Soft shading throughout, closest to a brow filled in with makeup. Suits most skin types and holds its shape well as it fades.
- Ombre brows
- Lighter at the front, building to a defined tail. The most forgiving finish if you want definition without a hard front edge.
- Combination brows
- Hairstrokes layered over shading, for texture rather than a solid block of colour. Best where there is still some natural hair to work with.

Matched to your skin tone and your own brow hair, and checked against your face rather than picked from a chart.

Pigment worked in gradually and checked as it goes, rather than finished to a clock.

Healing and top-up
Colour looks stronger at first and softens as it heals. A top-up between four and twelve weeks later settles the final result, and costs £50.

Brow questions
What is the difference between powder brows and combination brows?
Powder and ombre brows are shaded, so the finish reads like a softly filled brow that fades out towards the front. Combination brows add hairstrokes over that shading, which suits anyone who wants more texture rather than a solid shape.
Will they look drawn on?
That depends entirely on the shape and the depth of colour, which is why the mapping happens before anything else. You see the shape drawn on your face and approve it, and the colour is chosen against your skin tone and your natural brow hair.
Do I need a patch test?
Yes. Every first-time treatment needs a patch test at least 24 hours beforehand, and it is booked in before the brow appointment itself.
What if I already have permanent brows from somewhere else?
Send a photo on WhatsApp before you book. Depending on how much old pigment is left and what colour it has faded to, the answer may be a new treatment, or it may be removal first.
