The artist
Brows one day, reconstruction the next
Most of my week is brows, lips and eyeliner. The rest of it is areola micropigmentation after surgery, camouflage over settled scars, and colour brought back to patches of vitiligo.
Not many artists do both, and doing both is what keeps the everyday work honest. It is the same skill in either direction: reading skin tone, matching pigment to it, and knowing how that colour will move as it heals. The restorative side is simply where getting it wrong matters more.
It is also why nothing is rushed. The shape goes on your face in pencil first, and it stays there until you are happy with it.

What to expect
From first message to healed result
Most people booking permanent makeup have never had it done before. This is the whole process, so there are no surprises on the day.

Patch test
Every first-time treatment needs a patch test at least 24 hours in advance. It takes a few minutes, and it is booked before anything else.

Mapping
The shape is measured and drawn on your face at the start of the appointment, then changed until you are happy with it. Nothing goes into the skin before you have approved it.

The treatment
Set aside the full appointment. Pigment is worked in gradually and checked against your face as it goes, rather than finished to a clock.

Healing and top-up
Colour looks stronger at first and softens as it heals. A top-up between four and twelve weeks later settles the final result, and costs £50.

Common questions before booking
Do I need a patch test?
Yes. Every first-time treatment needs a patch test at least 24 hours beforehand, and it is booked in before the treatment itself. It only takes a few minutes.
Who carries out the treatment?
Rai, every time. She works alone, so there is no second artist and nothing goes out under her name that she did not do herself.

Mapping. The shape is measured and drawn onto your face at the start of the appointment, then adjusted until you are happy with it. Nothing goes into the skin until you have approved the shape.
Where is the studio?
89 Victoria Street in Windsor, SL4 1EH, on the second floor. It is a few minutes from Windsor and Eton Central and Windsor and Eton Riverside.
